Advantages of the chalet: Its location (at the foot of the slopes and in the Caseblanche hamlet), the rooms each with their own bathroom, the terrace with its jacuzzi that is not overlooked, and generally, the chalet’s amenities. A appreciated calm environment. Points for improvement: The WiFi quality is not very good. It’s inconvenient when you have to work even during vacation... No French TV channels, nor the possibility to use your own subscriptions (e.g., Netflix or My Canal?). No possibility to arrange the twin rooms as a double bed upon arrival.

The service level and provision keep decreasing from the early happy days of Agence de Belleville to now. Less cleaning, less attention. Easily fixed if the will is there to put customers and returning business back at the forefront of service.

The chalet was fantastic, although it is now in need of some maintenance (hot tub repair, electrical & kitchen). The new agency approach isn’t as professional or enjoyable as the old Agence de Belleville. Expectations to check thousands of items within an inventory in French, covering a 6-bed chalet would take several hours, at least. Bookings are slow to confirm - even when seeking repeat multi-week annual slots & payments have been slow to process with the office even slower to respond out of peak winter season. More personal touch needed and more attention to detail required. The expectation of inventory checks only communicated belatedly was frankly bizarre - that’s the job of the agency between rentals! The local team - at least the sole remaining former Agence de Belleville member remain outstanding. The rest - nowhere to be found, seen or heard. It’s changed & not seemingly for the better. Sadly.

The original team in resort (Damian) is amazing. He holds together what would otherwise be a far less professional experience following the change from Agence de Belleville to Mountain Collection. The back office / shared office out of season was awful. Poor communication, poor financial record etc. service has got worse since merger. The Casseblanche team are the only ones keeping customer loyalty.

CASEBLANCHE

The lovely hamlet of Caseblanche with its high-end chalets (sleeping 6 to 16) and its stunning views is 50m from the gondola, and right next the run coming down from the 3 Valleys. On spot you will find a ski rental and a lovely bistro-restaurant.

About the resort - Les Menuires ski area

Ski area

Reaching the top of the Pointe de la Masse once meant twenty-five minutes and three separate lifts. Since 2022 a single gondola does it in under eight, which changed the way Les Menuires skis: the 2,804-metre summit takes the morning sun while the Mont de la Chambre sector opposite holds the afternoon light. The resort's own sector covers 160 kilometres across 81 pistes and 30 lifts, running from 1,450 to 2,850 metres and connecting into the wider Three Valleys. Eighty-five percent of the terrain sits above 1,800 metres, and just over half of it is covered by snowmaking. The four-kilometre Roc'n Bob toboggan run drops back towards the village after the lifts close.

Le domaine relié

Six hundred kilometres of linked pistes make the Three Valleys the largest ski area in the world, spread across 10,500 hectares and seven resorts: Courchevel, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Les Menuires, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Val Thorens and Orelle. Eighty-five percent of the terrain lies above 1,800 metres, and 169 lifts reach twenty-five summits, ten of them beyond 2,500 metres. The area is unusual in a second respect: 355 restaurants, sixty-four of them up on the mountain, and fifteen Michelin stars shared between ten kitchens. An entrance to the Vanoise National Park and the Tuéda nature reserve both fall within its boundaries.
