We were told there was a washing machine, but there was none in this accommodation... which is very bothersome as we packed our bags based on this information. There is no drying rack for laundry, insufficient dishes (no baking dish, some pots in the cabinets are useless as they do not work on induction hobs, lack of large pots). The mattress is way too firm and "feels old." A small wardrobe could be added in the bedroom as there is no place to store clothes. The decor could be cozier. Compared to other accommodations, we have rented cheaper apartments with more comfort. Positive point: the accommodation is spacious and bright, well located. I do not wish for this review to be published as my intention is not to harm anyone but simply to improve things.

JARDIN ALPIN EDELWEISS

The Jardin Alpin Edelweiss residence is nestled in a beautiful green setting. A peaceful and sunny environment, ideal for a relaxing and invigorating holiday in the Alps. This residence is ideally located just 300 meters from the Pontillas gondola lift and 900 meters from shops. Close to all activities, including an indoor swimming pool, ice rink, cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing in winter, and mountain biking, a lake, and playgrounds in summer.

About the resort - Serre Chevalier ski area

Ski area

Serre Chevalier was the first ski area in the world to generate its own electricity from all three renewable sources at once: hydro power drawn from its snowmaking pipes, solar panels and micro wind turbines. Running since autumn 2019, the scheme now covers thirty-four percent of the area's annual consumption. The skiing itself amounts to 250 kilometres over 82 pistes and 58 lifts, between 1,200 and 2,800 metres, spread across four bases: Briançon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Le Monêtier-les-Bains. Briançon is the highest town in France and its Vauban fortifications are UNESCO-listed, which makes this the rare large French area attached to a working town rather than a purpose-built resort. The Écrins National Park begins at its edge.
