Renting in Beaufort: what you need to know
The village and the resort
When renting in Beaufort, you stay in the village, close to the slopes; skiing is done in Arêches and Le Planay, on the slopes of the Grand Mont.
Beaufort lies at around 750 metres above sea level. The village is lively all year round, with its local shops and its farming sector, among wooden chalets.
For skiing, the two landmarks are Arêches, at around 1,080 metres, and Le Planay, at around 1,200 metres. That is where the lifts start and where the ski schools are.
In Arêches, the Les p’tites frimousses daycare welcomes children from 3 months to 6 years, and the Club Piou-Piou introduces them to skiing from 3-4 years. In Beaufort itself, the intercommunal swimming pool has pools, a paddling pool and a slide, depending on the season.
