Renting in the La Plagne ski area: what you need to know

Understanding the resort

Between 1,250 and 2,100 metres, La Plagne is split between high-altitude resorts and valley villages. When renting in the La Plagne ski area, the first choice to make is the village.

Very distinct villages

Belle Plagne and Plagne Villages are at about 2,050 metres: the first has carefully designed architecture and stays quiet, the second lines up its wooden chalets in a more intimate atmosphere. Plagne Aime 2000, the highest, leads quickly to the upper sectors. Plagne Centre, a purpose-built resort from the 1960s and 70s, brings the shops together, and Plagne Bellecôte looks out onto the glacier. Further down, Montalbert and Montchavin-Les Coches are valley villages, among forest and wooden buildings.
