This accommodation is ideally located less than 100m from the slopes.

Very nice apartment, completely renovated of 31m² for 5 people. It is situated on the 5th floor of a residence at the heart of the resort, next to the departure of French Ski School (ESF). The apartment has a North-west facing balcony with a view upon the mounntains. Living area with a French window opening onto the balcony : 1 single bed. Television. Bedroom : 1 double bed. Cabin : 2 single bunk beds. Apartment equipped with double glazing and electric rolling shutters. Cupboards and shoe-dryer in the entry. Bathroom with a shower, towel dryer, separated toilets. Kitchen equipped with 2 vitroceramic hotplates, fridge with freezer compartment, combined traditional oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Animals are not admitted. Non-smoking apartment. Free disposable bedding sheets. Towels are not included. WIFI available with credit card (subject to internet coverage). Bunk beds are not suitable for children under 6.

As such, the apartment was nice, with good decoration, storage, and layout, but the major downside of our stay was being woken up every night from midnight until 2 or 3 AM. Our stays in the mountains are meant for us to rest, but unfortunately, it spoiled our vacation. The music starts at 4:30 PM and goes until 6 PM... (which is less bothersome, because that's part of the après-ski atmosphere) It picks up again around 11 PM, midnight, and then as people leave around 2 AM, there are drunk individuals shouting, honking horns; I don’t even understand why the municipality isn’t present to provide at least some order in the streets, to prevent people from hanging around yelling!! Since we have responsible jobs, our vacations are essential for resting and sleeping properly, and in this case, it’s a total fail!! 🫩

Only bad experience was. The fob key for the elevator didn't work to -4 level. Only work to -2. I had to use the stairs case from-2 to -4 and it was very dirty and bad smell, people use the stairs case in lac de lou as a toilet.

LAC DU LOU

Lac du lou is in the centre resort, la Croisette. The residence is ski-out, ski-in, departure of ski lessons are at the bottom of the residence. Lac du lou is located directly upon the shopping gallery of la Croisette, and it is at 3 minutes from bus station, and swimming pool, and at 5 minutes from children care.

About the resort - Les Menuires ski area

Ski area

Reaching the top of the Pointe de la Masse once meant twenty-five minutes and three separate lifts. Since 2022 a single gondola does it in under eight, which changed the way Les Menuires skis: the 2,804-metre summit takes the morning sun while the Mont de la Chambre sector opposite holds the afternoon light. The resort's own sector covers 160 kilometres across 81 pistes and 30 lifts, running from 1,450 to 2,850 metres and connecting into the wider Three Valleys. Eighty-five percent of the terrain sits above 1,800 metres, and just over half of it is covered by snowmaking. The four-kilometre Roc'n Bob toboggan run drops back towards the village after the lifts close.

Six hundred kilometres of linked pistes make the Three Valleys the largest ski area in the world, spread across 10,500 hectares and seven resorts: Courchevel, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Les Menuires, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Val Thorens and Orelle. Eighty-five percent of the terrain lies above 1,800 metres, and 169 lifts reach twenty-five summits, ten of them beyond 2,500 metres. The area is unusual in a second respect: 355 restaurants, sixty-four of them up on the mountain, and fifteen Michelin stars shared between ten kitchens. An entrance to the Vanoise National Park and the Tuéda nature reserve both fall within its boundaries.
