Ski Holidays Tignes les Brévières

For a rental in Tignes les Brévières, you stay in the lowest village of Tignes, at 1,550 metres, near the Chevril dam. The hamlet has kept its stone-and-wood chalets, a warm atmosphere and a more wooded setting than the neighbourhoods above.

The snow front is in the village, with local shops, services and the lifts departing from there. From there, links take you to Tignes 1800, Le Lac and Val Claret.

We recommend Les Brévières to families: children start on the village snow front, with the ESF children's area for 3 to 5 year olds, then group lessons for 6 to 12 year olds.

Skiing starts at the village snow front. The Brévières gondola, an 8-seater, climbs to Les Boisses, at around 1,850 metres. The Boisses gondola then takes over towards the higher areas of the ski area.

For first glides, the Les Brévières snow front has gentle slopes, with a conveyor belt or rope tow. The Brévières chairlift and the Pitots drag lift are part of this beginner area.

At the end of the day, you return from Les Boisses to Les Brévières on green and blue runs with wide descents. The lower part of the ski area runs through the forest.

The village is at the foot of the Tignes ski area: 150 km of runs, from 1,550 to 3,450 metres. To reach Val d'Isère, the link goes notably via Tovière and the Col de Fresse.

In winter, walking and snowshoe trails are accessible from Les Brévières, and a cultural walk lets you discover the village.

For under-5s, Tignes offers igloos, a snow village and a cinema with afternoon snack. In summer, the Club Jeunes Tignes welcomes 4 to 16 year olds.

In summer, the Les Brévières activity centre, on the banks of the Isère, has tennis, a multi-sports court and children's games. For walking, the Clairières des Condus are just past the Brévières tunnel.

By train, the closest SNCF station is Bourg-Saint-Maurice, about 30-32 km away. A coach or taxi then covers the last stretch to Les Brévières.

By car, take the A430 to Chambéry-Albertville, then the N90 towards Moûtiers and the D902, which climbs to Tignes via the dam. By plane, you land in Geneva, Lyon-Saint-Exupéry or Chambéry, then finish by road.

Once there, free shuttles link Les Brévières with Tignes 1800 and the other villages, in winter as in summer. The Brévières lift links the village, at 1,550 metres, with Tignes 1800.

We recommend the Brévières gondola to non-skiers: it is free for pedestrians during the day and climbs to Les Boisses, at around 1,850 metres.
