This apartment with a beautiful view of the valley consists of an equipped kitchen (electric hotplates, dishwasher, oven, micro wave, toaster, coffee maker), a bathroom with a bathtub, a separate toilet, a bedroom with two single beds, a living room with a single sofa bed. Upstairs, you have a bathroom with a toilet and two bedrooms with two single beds. For your comfort you have a flat screen TV. Ski locker at your disposal. This apartment is not new, but has good utensils and equipment, a good view, is warm and has lots of hot water. It is a bit of a walk from the road for loading and unloading, but the walk to the ski lift is short and in the right conditions you can ski back. We had a good time and would come again.

It's a shame that we can't connect to the internet in the apartment and that we have to go out to complete the inventory in particular...

Clean apartment, well located, spacious overall, kitchen too small but well equipped with dishes (perhaps too many dishes). There is a lack of storage in the kitchen which is too small for 6 people, making it impossible to store groceries. There is a lack of shelves or cupboards in the downstairs bedroom, while the upstairs bedroom has adequate clothing storage. The stairs are not practical but manageable... The water for the shower is very difficult to adjust; a mixer would be much more appropriate!!! We waste way too much water, and when we flush the toilet there is no more cold water, so we get burned by the hot water, which is not great...

Sympathique duplex pour nos vacances avec nos 4 enfants (adultes), très bien équipé et spacieux, à proximité du parvis des Coches et du départ vers Plan Bois.

très bien les 3 chambres de l'appartement ainsi que la pièce de vie, mais une cuisine très petite et aucun rangement dans les 2 petites chambres, une commande ou un bloc d'étagères suffiraient ! idem aucune étagère dans la sdb de l'étage, pas facile de poser ces affaires ! Résidence pas très loin des pistes et des caisses de remontées mécaniques. Joli village mais trop à l'ombre au moment de Noël ! Très petit sans pharmacie et loin de tout ! trop isolé ! Peu de commerces et pas d'animations ! Absence de bus entre la gare ferroviaire de Landry et les coches donc un taxi à 40 € pour les 13 km à faire !

About La Plagne ski area

The ski area

La Plagne holds the only bobsleigh, luge and skeleton track in France, built for the 1992 Albertville Games and still open to anyone willing to try it. The skiing covers 225 kilometres and 139 pistes served by 77 lifts, climbing from Montchavin at 1,250 metres to the Chiaupe glacier at 3,250 metres below the Bellecôte summit, the second-highest skiable point in the French Alps and the reason the snow stays cold late in the season. Eleven separate villages make up the resort, seven of them perched above 1,800 metres and four spread through the valley below. The Vanoise Express cable car connects the whole area to Les Arcs, opening up the 425 kilometres of Paradiski.

The linked ski area

France's third-largest ski area, Paradiski links La Plagne with Les Arcs - Peisey-Vallandry across 425 kilometres of connected runs. Crossing between the two sides takes four minutes aboard the Vanoise Express, a double-decker cable car that spans the valley without a single pylon. Terrain rises from 1,250 to 3,250 metres, and with 70% of it sitting above 2,000 metres, snow cover holds reliably from December into April. The 130 lifts reach everything from the tree-lined slopes of Montchavin, Les Coches and Montalbert to the long high-altitude descents off the Aiguille Rouge.
