The location of accommodation was perfect. So close to the access chairlift (50m), and bus stop (50m), as well as 150m from plenty of ski rental shops, Italian restaurant and a very good supermarket (small but quality). We were happy with the accommodation considering we booked very last minute. There was plenty of space for 5. It was basic, but enough for us, and clean/tidy. A private courtyard in front with beautiful view of snowy mountain and table/chairs to soak up some sun after skiing for the day.

LES JARDINS D'HIVER C

Above the town center, the Morel district offers quick access to the slopes by the chairlift of the same name. The slope to return home is called the Hulotte. In addition, the chairlift can be taken by foot to reach the cross-country ski trails or pedestrian paths of the Altiport. You are close to two ski rental shops, a mini market (providing bread) and several restaurants. This area offers you everything you need for an unforgettable stay in the mountains. In addition, if you want to reach the heart of the resort, it only takes 3 minutes by the free town shuttle (Bus line C) or 10 minutes by foot.

About the resort - Méribel ski area

Ski area

Méribel is the only valley in the Three Valleys to have held its builders to a binding architectural charter from the start: timber, local stone and lauze roofing, which is why no apartment block breaks the skyline here. Its four villages climb the valley in stages, from Les Allues at 1,100 metres through Méribel Village and Méribel Centre up to Mottaret at 1,750 metres. The skiing covers 150 kilometres across 72 pistes, rising to the Mont Vallon at 2,952 metres and feeding into the 600 kilometres of the wider area. Méribel staged every women's alpine event of the 1992 Albertville Games and hosted the World Championships again in 2023. The Plan de Tuéda nature reserve, a stand of Swiss pine, begins just above Mottaret.

Six hundred kilometres of linked pistes make the Three Valleys the largest ski area in the world, spread across 10,500 hectares and seven resorts: Courchevel, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Les Menuires, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Val Thorens and Orelle. Eighty-five percent of the terrain lies above 1,800 metres, and 169 lifts reach twenty-five summits, ten of them beyond 2,500 metres. The area is unusual in a second respect: 355 restaurants, sixty-four of them up on the mountain, and fifteen Michelin stars shared between ten kitchens. An entrance to the Vanoise National Park and the Tuéda nature reserve both fall within its boundaries.
