The accommodation itself was very good. Unfortunately when we arrived at 6.30( transfer was on time) we found that we could not collect the keys from reception! It took several phone calls to find out we were expected to travel to the mountain collection office in Flaine to collect them. Luckily there were 2 Crystal ski reps who helped us by talking to a member of your staff on the phone as it was impossible for us to understand the instructions due to language barrier & very poor phone line. The Crystal rep then offered to order a taxi and come with us to find the office. If it hadn’t been for her we would have had great difficulty in finding it. In all this took 2hrs before we got into our apartment! The rest of the holiday was very good, but it was very stressful at the start and the end, as you insisted we would have to return the keys to your office before our 05.45 transfer back to airport. We contacted We Ski & after several messages they agreed we could leave them at reception, which we did. I can not believe that there isn’t a better system for key collection & return. Surely you could arrange for reception to handle this & if not some kind of key safe? My self & my friend have been on numerous ski holidays & many summer holidays & have never been asked to travel to pick up keys and in fact I’ve never heard of anyone needing to do this. This was advertised as a 5 star holiday which the cost reflected, so I think it is totally unreasonable to expect customers who are paying £1800 for 5 days holiday to then have the major inconvenience of travelling to pick up keys & returning them.

The description matches the accommodation. At the foot of the slopes and functional. It's too bad that bathrobes for the spa are not provided, or that a rental option is not available.

Positives: Size and layout of apartment 520 was good with open lounge/ dining area, nice view up the valley and 2 bathrooms. Cooking utensils and items that we needed were all provided. Ski locker room was convenient and direct access to the slopes was ideal. Negatives: Room key had to be picked up from a box next to the office in the Flaine Forum - why not have a box at the hotel? There was absolutely no toilet paper at all in the apartment - not a single sheet. Not helpful when arriving at 10pm. The apartment had not been properly cleaned, the kitchen bin was left full, with stains and dirt on the outside. Bedroom carpets did not seem to have been cleaned. Lounge area sofa and chairs had what looked like dog hairs all over them. The welcome pack was useless - it had different instructions for leaving the apartment, not the same as those on the back of the kitchen door. It did not have any tea/coffee snacks etc or even something as basic as a bin bag in it. Utensils, chopping board etc had to be cleaned before use. Some things we just decided to leave alone rather than beginning by cleaning. It would be helpful for families if one of the double rooms could be made into a twin. There was no welcome from the agency. Deposit was payable online, but tourist tax required a visit to the office - if this can be paid online it's not obvious, I couldn't find a way. Value for money is probably good during most weeks, but school half term is always

We had a few very disappointing issues - • The carpets were very badly stained throughout the apartment. •The dishwasher did not work for 6 days until it was replaced • The. dishwasher has no rinse aid or salt •The cushions were covered in white dog hair and had not been cleaned. ∙There were 3 hoovers -One did not pick up any dirt, the 2nd was totally full and had not been emptied, the 3rd we didn't try. •The fridge door was loose and needed screwing back on. ∙On arrival there was a hoover in the middle of floor in the bedroom ∙There were no robes for the swimming pool •Overall I don't think the property had been checked properly or maintained before our arrival •Both inventories were different ∙missing one fork ∙Handle missing off a saucepan •Need better instructions for oven
