Ski Holiday Grand Reberty

Grand Reberty is the residential neighbourhood of Les Menuires, quieter and higher than La Croisette. It is split between Reberty 1850 and Reberty 2000, with modern chalets and stone-and-wood residences; from Chalet 2000, the view stretches to the Pointe de la Masse. For a rental in Grand Reberty, several of our residences are ski-in/ski-out: at Biellaz, Boedette A or Origanes, you put your skis on as you leave the building.

From Place des Bouquetins, a footbridge leads to Les Bruyères, with its shops and restaurants, and La Croisette is a 15-minute walk away along a path. From Reberty 1850, you can also walk to Les Bruyères via a public lift and a footbridge, and free shuttles take you to the centre of La Croisette.

The quiet of the neighbourhood suits families well. Ski school group lessons meet at Reberty 2000, and the kids' clubs take little ones from age 3 or 4 depending on the school. For big groups, our largest apartments sleep up to 12 people.

We mainly rent studios and 2-3 room apartments, as well as large apartments for 8 people or more. Our three agencies in Les Menuires, including one in Reberty 2000, are open every day and manage this accommodation all year round. The ski pass can be added to your rental.

Here, the day starts on the Reberty sector, served by a 6-seater detachable chairlift. From there, the whole Les Menuires ski area opens up to you: 160 km of runs, between 1,300 and 2,850 metres.

For the first few days, stay in the Easy Rider zone: its pass covers the Reberty conveyor belt and easy chairlifts such as Tortollet. You then move from the green to the blue runs of the sector without changing neighbourhood.

Good skiers set off from Reberty towards La Masse, Les Bruyères and Saint-Martin, then on to the rest of the Trois Vallées if their ski pass allows. From the top of Bruyères 1, the descent to Les Bruyères is a classic of the sector.

The Sentier Bruyères snowshoe trail starts from Grand Reberty and leads to the Bruyères gondola, whose ride down is free.

We recommend a day in Les Bruyères, a footbridge away from Place des Bouquetins: the rail toboggan, the water play area and the cinema are all there. In Les Menuires, the youngest also have the Montagnette fun zone and the ski schools' children's areas.

Without skis, the pedestrian pass takes you up to the viewpoints on several lifts, including those of the Pointe de la Masse and Reberty.

At the table, Savoie cheeses make fondue, raclette and tartiflette. For local produce, also try the honey, génépi and mountain-pasture herbs such as thyme or mugwort.

With young children, we look first at the Alpages de Reberty, four stone-and-wood chalets in Reberty 2000. Some accommodation is 100 m from the slopes and the ski school, and the indoor swimming pool is heated.

For several families, we recommend Chalet 2000: its apartments sleep up to 12 people, with direct access to the slopes and a spa. Almost all have their own parking space, and our customers rate it 4.6 out of 5. Le Chalet du Soleil sleeps up to 11 people, the Alpages de Reberty up to 10.

Médian, in Reberty 1850, was the least expensive of our residences in February over the last two winters. Its studios and 2-3 room apartments sleep up to 4 people, 250 m from the slopes, and both the ski school and the shops are very close. Parking is free at the foot of the building.

By train, get off at Moûtiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains, about 27 km from Les Menuires. Depending on the accommodation, keys are collected at one of our three agencies: in Reberty 2000 for the Alpages and Chalet 2000, in La Croisette for Médian, and in Les Bruyères for Gentianes and Biellaz.
