Ski Holiday Charmettoger

Our rentals in Charmettoger are in one of the pedestrian villages of Arc 1800, at an altitude of about 1,800 metres, on the edge of the forest. The buildings blend into the slope.

Charmettoger is quieter than the central sectors such as Les Villards. The neighbourhood has a restaurant and a ski shop; for everything else, the shops of Les Villards are very close by. A free shuttle links the villages of Arc 1800.

We offer apartments and studios in eleven residences in Charmettoger.

Advice from our Les Villards agency, updated in October 2026.

From Charmettoger, you set off on the Charmettoger lift or the first section of the Transarc.

The green and blue runs can be reached via the Transarc from Charmettoger, or from the Arc 1800 snow front; the ski area has 13 green and 50 blue runs. In Charmettoger, above the Transarc departure point, a children's area brings together the beginner groups of a ski school. The ESF also offers group lessons for children from age 3, with a children's area and courses.

From these same lifts, the Barmont run, a dark blue, descends towards Vallandry, away from the main crowds.

Arc 1800 is in the Les Arcs - Peisey-Vallandry ski area: 200 km of runs, up to 3,250 metres. The Vanoise Express cable car links it to La Plagne (Paradiski).

Marked trails, on foot or on snowshoes, run around the resort, notably via Charmettoger and the Chemin des Espagnols. Above the neighbourhood, the viewpoints look out over Mont-Blanc and the Tarentaise valley.

With young children, there is the ESF nursery, sledging and the Skimômes sledge carousel.

At the table, the Tarentaise specialities are Beaufort and tartiflette. The HERO Les Arcs label brings together more than 30 activities, in winter as in summer.

Ten of our eleven residences in Charmettoger have accommodation 100 m or less from the slopes.

With young children, we recommend Le Belmont: mainly studios for up to 4 people, some 10 m from the slopes, with the ski school 100 m away. For a big group, Thuria and Aiguille Grive 3 sleep up to 8 people; Thuria has mainly large apartments, some 50 m from the slopes.

For a budget stay, look at Alliet: it was the least expensive of our residences in February over the last two winters. Ruitor, mainly 2-3 room apartments for up to 4 people, has a ski locker and an outdoor swimming pool open in summer. To ski from the door, the three Aiguille Grive residences have some accommodation 20 m from the slopes, and a grocery shop in the residence.

By train, get off at Bourg-Saint-Maurice: the funicular climbs to Arc 1600, then a connection takes you to Arc 1800. By car, the motorway takes you to Albertville, then a 2x2-lane road to Moûtiers. Depending on the accommodation, keys are handed over at our Mountain Collection agency in Les Villards (Résidence Aiguille des Glaciers), open every day; the voucher gives the exact place and opening hours. Our customers rate its welcome 4.4 out of 5.
