The village of Tignes 1800

In Les Boisses, the old village upstream and the Tignes 1800 plateau share a Savoyard architecture of stone and wood. For a rental in Les Boisses, we have two addresses: the Olympiques, mainly studios, and the Chalet Cheval Liberté, for chalets.

In the resort

The district has its grocery shop, its bakery, ski shops and souvenir shops. The ESF Tignes Les Boisses gives group and private lessons there, for skiing and snowboarding, with a children's area for 3 to 5-year-olds.

Ski departures from Les Boisses

From Les Boisses, the Boisses gondola goes up to the upper parts of the Tignes ski area: 150 km of runs between 1,550 and 3,450 metres.

For beginners

For your first turns, we recommend the Buis run, a beginners' run on the snow front of Tignes 1800. Children also have a magic carpet, and the ESF follows them from the children's area up to the 6-12 courses, in skiing or snowboarding.

Towards Les Brévières

The Brévières gondola links Les Brévières with Tignes 1800 / Les Boisses. It is free for pedestrians: you can go from one sector to the other without putting your skis on.

Days without skis

For walking or snowshoeing, the Marais area is at the top of the Boisses gondola. You can also walk in Les Brévières and Tignes Le Lac.

With children

For little ones, pony rides, pony-sledging and horse snakegliss, a sledge pulled by a horse, leave from Les Boisses.

Seeing the district differently

By train, the nearest station is Bourg-Saint-Maurice, about 30 km away: allow around 40 minutes by bus or taxi to Tignes, with the S83 line stopping at Tignes 1800 / Les Boisses. By car, the road goes via Albertville, then the N90 to Bourg-Saint-Maurice and the D902.
